Ambien

I guess it has been a while since I have added a post to my blog. I have a few fun things I will add within the next few days.
I want to warn all of you about some of the side effects of taking the sleep aid Ambien. A few weeks ago I went to the doctor because I have a really hard time going to sleep. This has been and ongoing problem and I get up at 4:30 to go to work, so I don't function properly if I don't go to sleep until 1 or 2. Anyway, the doctor told me that I have a problem with some anxiety and gave me a prescription for Ambien to help me get back in the mode of falling to sleep. I have heard some horror stories about this drug and I was really reluctant to take it. I didn't want to take it while I was home alone with my boys, so I waited until the weekend to take it when Ryan would be here with me. The first few nights were amazing!!! I have never slept better. So...I continued taking it until the night before last! I took it about 8:15 and laid in my bed reading until 8:30 (I know it's kind of early). I reached over and turned off my lamp and started hallucinating!!!! I was seeing all these different shapes float above me in what looked like smoke swirling around. Then I saw a girl standing at the foot of my bed. I sat up and told Ryan to look at it. He thought I was going crazy. He was ready to take me to the ER. When I refused to go he told me to just close my eyes. When I did, I passed out. I don't think I moved the whole night. I am pretty sure I won't be taking that ever, ever again.

You're PRETTY sure you won't be taking it again?? So you're saying there is a chance? Lol!! Sounds very crazy and something I wouldn't want to go through. At least the hubsters was nice about it and concerned. Mike probably would have messed with me and made me think what I saw was true!

That is freaky!!! I took Ambien for quite some time, I'm so glad that this never happened to me...it would have FREAKED me out! I stopped taking it because I would be knocked out cold. I had no clue what would happen during the night. I kind of scared me.
