Girls Camp

I had the privilege of going to my very first Girls Camp this week. And to say the least. It was one of the most amazing and spiritual experiences of my entire life. I was not able to stay the whole time, but I got to spend one full day and half of the next. I am so glad that I had the opportunity to go. I got to learn so much about the girls. I feel I see them a lot, but most of the time I am busy preparing something for them, so I don't really get to just chat with them. I learned so much about each one of them in the few days I was there.
I felt a little unprepared. I didn't get a packing list before I went, so the only thing I took was my sleeping bag, camp chair, and my clothes. Apparently we were suppose to bring a sack lunch for the first day, and I had no idea. When we got there and got settled I went on the first year hike with Bri, Hunter, and Jessica. Since this was my first year, it was only appropriate that I go with them. And since I didn't have a lunch the assistant camp director, Jenn, kindly gave me hers. She said she could make one at camp. She also made sure I had my own camp book, so I could certify with the other girls. I got to feel like a kid again. It was AMAZING! I am so grateful for our camp directors this year, Tekarri and Jenn were the perfect team. We couldn't have had it planned any better. They made sure we had the most amazing food and treats for us. And the presents were awesome. The whole camp theme was super hero's and we were assigned to be Wonder Woman. Jenn made the cutest T-shirts for us, and we got a tile with vinyl that says..."I know who I am...Who the Lord wants me to be. As a daughter of God...I am Wonder Woman." And a frosted candle jar with a star on it, so we could let our light shine. This was the perfect super hero for us. And all the girls loved it. I can't wait until next year. And I plan on going for the whole week next time. I don't want to miss out on anything. I have been so spiritually enlightened this week, and I need it more now than ever.
Jessica, Me, Bri, and Hunter at the top of the mountain for the First Year hike. ( I love this pic)
Michelle and Kylene
Kendal, Jenn, Courtney and Bri. We were in a circle reading scriptures for our ward power hour.
Bailey, Hailey, and Marina on the other side of the power hour circle.
I wish I would have taken more pictures, but I was so engaged in the activities I didn't get my camera out much. I know Jenn was a shutter bug the whole week, so hopefully she will share some good ones with me.

I'm so glad to hear you had a good time. I am terrified to go!!! We just had our last camp meeting tonight and I was trying to get out of it. They aren't letting me out though. Hopefully my experience is as good as yours.
